Tag Maintenance

Tags may be manually created in the Tag Maintenance UI under Utilities > Tags or automatically uploaded as defined in the Data Tables Article.

Please note if the tags are being uploaded (manually or automatically), with each upload the system deletes the values that are no longer in the upload. If the tag is entered via DemandCaster item tag interface, the values remain regardless of what is included in the automated or manual uploaded table.

Tag Grouping provides the added capability to create groups of similar tags that can then be used in reports as separate columns as well as pivot type table creation. Tags that are not assigned to a group, will continue to be grouped together in a single cell.

Adding Tags in the Tag UI

  1. Navigate to the Tags page by clicking Utilities > Tags from the main menu
  2. Click Add New

Add a New Tag

  1. Create a new tag by entering its name.
  2. You may then assign a category, if no category exists, proceed to the next step
  3. Click "Save" to save the tag

Creating a Tag Category

  1. Navigate to the Tags page by clicking Utilities > Tag Categories from the main menu
  2. Click "Add New" to enter the name of the category and then click save
